Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth continues the story right where FF7 Remake left off, and that means there were no guarantees about what major plot points would change and which would stay the same. Given the amount of content included, not every scene is important to the story. While they might add depth to the plot or characters, some scenes could be skipped without worrying about missing information pertinent to future events, or explaining past mysteries.
