Adults-only event boasts ‘bacon, bourbon and blues’ in Oviedo

Bacon, Bourbon and Blues, a 21+ event coming to the Oviedo Cultural Center this weekend, promises a thirst-quenching evening of music, laughter and good eats.

The event takes place Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a full cash bar offering a variety of beer, wine and spirits.

Tickets are $50 per person and feature bourbon tastings, as well as the sampling of “a variety of bacon & bourbon infused food including items using the fantastic rubs made by our Pitmaster Meat Dave,” organizers said.

A schedule of events recommends you arrive at 5 p.m. for the samplings, which last until 6:30 p.m.

Afterward, it’s time for cocktails, conversation and blues music in the amphitheater until 7 p.m. — with said music performed by Shreddie King — before the event’s aforementioned pitmaster Dave Williamson holds a comedy routine from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
