Kissimmee community gathers at annual PrideFest event Concern over safety and new legislation forced some cities in Central Florida to cancel their pride events, but others are standing tall. Vibrant flags and plenty of vendors made the block hot in Kissimmee Saturday. Music empowered the crowds as they showed off their colors in pride. More than 1,000 people came out to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community at the city's Civic Center.
