14-year-old found in woods ID’d as victim in NE Charlotte mobile home park shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 14-year-old boy was found dead in the woods in northeast Charlotte Wednesday following a reported shooting, CMPD announced.

According to authorities, CMPD officers responded to the 200 block of Ann Elizabeth Drive around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, to assist Medic.

As officers got to the scene, they found a 14-year-old boy in the woods, who had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the crime scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.

This murder happened just hours after a reported shooting and stabbing on Charidge Lane off University City Boulevard, which left two people with serious injuries.
