This victory puts the Sharks in the first place of the League. Tonight’s win completes the sweep on the Columbus Lions for the 2019 regular season.

Quarterback Jonathan Bane ended the night throwing 19-of-41 for 228 yards and four touchdowns. Jarmon Fortson had an incredible game against his former team, totaling seven catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Wide Receiver Devin Wilson had six receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown. Defensive Back, Seth Ellis earned the Defensive Player of the Game with a season-high two interceptions tonight against the Lions. Zack Brown also had a standout performance scoring three times tonight, two rushing and one reception for a touchdown. Brown also had two tackles for a loss on defense.

Overall, it was a battle in the Shark Tank. Despite holding both teams under 30 points in the last three games, Columbus put a fight scoring 41 and making it a game all the way to the end. However, a game-ending interception by Nick Woodman sealed the victory for Jacksonville. This holds their position as #1 in the NAL going into week 10.

The next Sharks’ game is on June 15 at 7:00 p.m. against the Carolina Cobras at the Greensboro Coliseum in a battle for first place. The next home game is on Saturday, June 22 against the New York Streets at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena for Star Wars Night. For tickets to the home game, please visit or call 904- 621-0700.
