Drew Brees threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns as New Orleans defeated Carolina 42-10 in Charlotte. The Saints now move on the three playoffs against the Minnesota Vikings as the No. 3 seed. The Panthers finish the season 5-11. Carolina holds the No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In the fourth quarter, McCaffrey needed just 16 yards, and then surpassed the 1,000/1,000 (rush/receiving yards) mark for the season. CMC finished with just 26 yards and a score on nine carries, but 72 yards receiving leading the team with seven receptions. For the season he finished with 2,392 total scrimmage yards (third best in NFL history). Saints receiver Michael Thomas added four receptions to finish the season with a NFL record 149 receptions for the Saints (13-3). Kyle Allen finished the game for Carolina after Will Grier was injured. Allen finished with 295 yards and one interception on a 25-for-41 outing for the Panthers. ”
