Northeastern Bobcats 67 – Central York Panthers 69
The Panthers of Central York High School Evan Eisenhart sank a 3 pointer just before the final buzzer went off to send the game against the Bobcats of Northeastern High School into overtime and Richard Bailey, BB Photographer was courtside with My4one2 Keeping Pennsylvania #LockedIN.
The Panthers were down by 3 points with 2.3 seconds left on the clock and had to inbound the ball from the other end of the court. A play that the Panthers practiced worked to perfection, as Nolan Hubbs threw the ball to Beau Pribula standing at the top of the arc with his back to the rim caught the ball in midair and immediately tossed it to Evan Eisenhart who had posted up to his left and tossed up the 3 pointer to tie the game as the buzzer sounded.
4 minutes were put on the clock for the overtime period and it came down to the last few seconds again, only this time the Bobcats needed a bucket to tie or a three pointer to win the game being down 67-69. Panthers Andrew Brodbeck went for a 3-pointer before the buzzer sounded, but missed giving the Panthers the win and sole possession of first place in their YAIAA Division I.
Top shooters for the Bobcats were Austin Richards and Andrew Brodbeck with 19 and 18 points, respectively, and each hit five 3-pointers. Evan Eisenhart led the Panthers with 16 points and Kai’ryn Brown added 12. With the win the Panthers are now 13-2 overall and 7-1 in Division I while the Bobcats are 11-4 and 6-2.
