LockedIN On Arena Football November 13

The Good, The Bad And Arena Football

Happy Wednesday Sports fans! Let’s take a mid-week break from talking about Colin Kapernick and the NFL and some time away from the Weather to talk about Arena Football. Both the National Arena League(NAL) and the American Arena League(AAL) have been busy this week, and there is some things to talk about.

Kicking things off in the NAL:

The Off Season problems continue for the NAL as first the new Atlanta Georgia team has decided NOT to the league. In the final minutes before signing up with the league, the deal is DEAD.

So now down to 9 teams look for the New York Streets to back out as the season gets closer. Not much news out of Orlando and the revamped Predators.

Here are the signings you might have missed:

The Jersey Flight have signed OL Hunter Sallilah, Corey Madlock, Joseph Kupcikevicius, Jordan Brown, Jordan Page ; center Donell Andrews; DB Jason Johnson, Kr “Birdman Berry; WR Emery Sammons, Dashown Waller, David Lewis; FB Jeremiah Zene Jr.

The Jacksonville Sharks signed WR Chris Gilchrist (6’5”, 215) has resigned for his third season of arena football and third season with the Sharks.

The Columbus Lions signed LB Lenroy Neysmith 6-3 225, DB Jawanza Adams 5-10 190 and WR Paris Mack, Desmond Reece,  OL Jamar King

The Massachusetts Pirates have named former Arena Football League star wide receiver Reggie Gray Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the upcoming season.  Gray enjoyed 14 seasons of professional football; nine in the AFL and now he looks to bring his knowledge and experience to the Pirates.

Over in the AAL:

As typical for the AAL, VERY little news out of the league. Each team posts to their own social media channels, and not much of that going on.

From the meeting over the weekend it looks like the AAL has 11 teams on standby for the 2020 Season, with 3 of those being traveling teams.

Here are some info we did get:

The South Florida Thunder is excited to announce the signing of Head Coach Taliaferro Adams Jr. (Tally) Coach Tally brings 22 years of Coaching experience and playing history of arena football.

The Carolina Predators are hosting a tryout November 6, 2019 at Gary L Pittman Memorial Park in Greenville SC.

It’s going to be a very eventful rest of November and early December and LockedIN Magazine will keep you #LockedIN on all the news!
