Eastern Indoor Developmental League Football- Fact or Fiction

Will This Be The Answer To Getting Better Arena Football Action

Once upon a Time in America, arena football was just a fad. Real Football was played on a 100 Yard Field, Outside, in all elements and the boys were separated by the men. Only the Real Players survived.

Then times changed. Million dollar athletes got SPOILED with MONEY and FAME and what was REAL Football has turned into 2 hand touch! Don’t hit that player to hard, you will get FINED. Then came arena football. Indoor. Shorter field. And the Arena Football League FLOURISHED.

Then people realized there was MONEY in those games! Let’s open a LEAGUE, get some teams. Become MILLIONAIRES! And leagues popped up EVERYWHERE. Some Good. Some Bad. And YES, Some UGLY as can BE. The League owners found that they can take money to pay for their wifes BOOB job. Or new tires. Vacations. Or Just to show off with. And the leagues started to crumble.

Now in 2020, there seems to be a NEW League popping up! The Eastern Indoor Development League.

EIDL (Eastern Indoor Developmental League) will be based on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida. The inaugural season will take place in 2020, with four teams along the Southeast region. The EIDL will be determined to develop not only players, but also staff, coaches, and officiating crews.

The league is founded by Stan Collinsworth, the owner of the Florida Falcons, who’ve been around since early 2018. With over 20+ years of experience, Collinsworth will move on to the indoor football realm by starting a new league. As for the teams, there will be four different markets competing, and they are listed as: Atlanta, GA, Rockledge, FL, Orlando, FL, and a travel team out of Pensacola, FL.

“I am tired of seeing the drama filled leagues always being one and done. We will create a new atmosphere for players, staff, coaches, and refs to enjoy and play the game how it’s supposed to be played. It’s plain and simple, no strings attached.” -Stan Collinsworth.

As speculation sets in, we at LockedIN magazine like what the Florida Falcons have done in Jacksonville Florida and look forward to seeing what this new league is all about.
