Cobras Stop Pirates Advance To Championship

Carolina Holds Off Pirates 30-26

Saturday Night one of the BEST National Arena League games of 2019 brought the Massachusetts Pirates to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex to take on the Carolina Cobras. On the line was a trip to the 2019 NAL Championship game, and this turned out to be an instant classic game and Jerry Self Jr was in Greensboro, North Carolina with My8four3 keeping our Arena Football fans #LockedIN.

And this game took all 4 quarters and some extra time, as the Carolina Cobras use a goal line stance as time expires to Punch a Birth in the 2019 NAL CHAMPIONSHIP Game.

The third seeded Pirates got off to a rough start losing the leagues top scorer on their first possession to an ACL injury. Still the Pirates were the first to score as Cobras Kicker Brandon Rutherford missed a 37 yard field goal on the teams’ first possession and on their second drive wide out Jordan Jolly fumbled after making a reception. Chucky Williams recovered for Massachusetts and three plays later quarterback Sean Brackett found Hall from 20 yards out for the only points in the first quarter.
