Arena Football Update July 25

Check Out The Latest ArenaBowl XXXI, American Arena League Rumor and The National Arena League

Normally about this time of year LockedIN Magazine would be joining thousands Cheering  Arena  Football in general. The inside game is far different then the outdoor NFL Version that we are used to. The Arena Game is Amazing.

Let’s Take a Look at whats gong in In Arena Football this week@

Starting off with this weekends ArenaBowlXXXI..

The AFL announced today that BUD LIGHT will serve as presenting sponsor of the Arena Bowl XXXI. Every Fan in attendance will recieve a RALLY Towel courtesy of Bud Light. fans 21 and over will have access to the Bud Light Fan Zone, located on the Royal Farms Arena stage. The Bud Light Fan Zone

In addition to the ArenaBowl XXXI in-game activations, Bud Light and the AFL will host several pop-ups at bars and city locations around the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. areas, distributing giveaways and promoting Saturday night’s game.

The Baltimore Brigade and Washington Valor face off in ArenaBowl XXXI this Saturday, July 28 at 7 p.m. at Royal Farms Arena. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.

Who wins? Well, after Randy Hippeard’s impressive debut as a member of the Brigade, I mused that Baltimore had the horses to make it to the top of the Arena League, so I will stick with my guns. Hippeard and his teammates will take Arena Bowl XXXI on Saturday.

Now what is amusing is that Rumors are going around that the American Arena League has signed a Contract with ESPN2 to broadcast the American Arena League All-Star Game in Late August. LockedIN Magazine has learned that there will be a TRYOUT in Mid August in Florence, South Carolina… which is making total sense!

Now the National Arena League has out attention this week. First off  the Sharks look to extend Five-Game Home Win Streak against #1 Ranked Pirates in Jacksonville Florida. My9oh4 will be live at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial  Arena. This is a true battle for the Top and its all hands on deck.

The Pirates are currently the number one team in the NAL and are one game ahead of the Sharks. The Sharks need to win this game to take first place and possibly clinch home-field playoffs, depending on the outcome of the Maine Mammoths/Columbus Lions game and Carolina Cobras/Lehigh Valley Steelhawks game. For the Sharks to clinch the first place spot this weekend, the Sharks must win, the Mammoths must win, and the Steelhawks must win.

The Sharks are coming off of a bye week and are going to be rejuvenated and ready to play their last regular season game against the Lions.

The game will be streamed on Youtube Live, a link to the stream will be posted on FACEBOOK .

The Maine Mammoths (5-8) travel to Columbus, Georgia to take on the Columbus Lions (8-5) for the teams’ third matchup. The first game between the Mammoths and Lions ended up being a Lions win with a 55-34 score. Two weeks ago in Maine, the Mammoths defeated the Lions in overtime 42-41. So its Winner take all. Saturday’s game will be shown on YouTube Live and will be posted on the team’s social media pages. That will provide all the information on how to watch the game live on your phone or your computer

Its Now or Not this year for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (0-13) as they  seek a win in their final home game of the season! The Carolina Cobras (8-5) are coming to town. And its going to 0-14 this year.

The Cobras this season are 3-0 against the Steelhawks, with two out of the three meetings taking place in Carolina. Although Carolina completely dominated the Steelhawks in every aspect of the ball game in their two home games, their matchup six weeks ago in Allentown was much closer. Carolina ultimately came out victorious, winning 58-38, but never seemed to have a secure lead during the game, with Lehigh Valley always responding, after the first quarter.
