Arena Football Update 8/9/18

Playoffs, Rumors and an All-Star Game

If your a football fan, this is the best time of the year. We talking PLAYOFFS and in the National Arena League, its down and dirty win or go home time.

After an interesting season that saw 4 of the teams fighting for home playoff birth, last weekends game set the stage for the Fireworks that will happen this week.

The Jacksonville Sharks were in Portland Maine on Saturday taking on the Maine Mammoth, and no matter that the Mammoth were eliminated from the playoffs weeks ago, because of a slow start, the surging Mammoth knocked the Sharks from 1st place to 3rd and took away home field.

Now the Sharks are on the way to Carolina to take on the Cobras and LockedIN Magazine knows that the Sharks need to bring their A GAME on TUESDAY NIGHT in Greensboro.

The Massachusetts Pirates begin the National Arena League playoffs as the number one seed on Saturday at the DCU Center when they face the Columbus Lions at 7 pm. The Pirates garnered the top spot with an 11-5 record in their first season in the NAL while the Lions are the fourth seed with an 8-7 mark. The teams appear to be heading in opposite directions. Massachusetts won three of its last four games whereas Columbus ended its season on a four game losing streak, scoring a season low 35 points in each of its last games against Maine and Carolina.

Let the games begin!!
